What to Do After the Tutorial

You've cleared Bulkatron and Scrapclaw and arrived in Virelda. Here's where to focus next.

Talk to the Key NPCs First

In Virelda, speak with the Virelda Chief and an NPC named Fritz — these conversations set up the main questline around the strange happenings affecting the townspeople.

Start Your Base

Player housing is part of the core loop from the start. Begin setting up crafting stations as materials allow — your base is what turns gathered and mined resources into the gear you'll need for tougher dungeons.

Pick Up Life Skills

The overworld supports farming, gathering, fishing, cooking, and mining alongside questing. Each feeds back into dungeon performance: cooking restores stamina, gathering and mining unlock crafting materials and stations.

Keep an Eye on the Quest Log

Use the map/globe view (default hotkey M) to track accepted quests and contracts, and to see the full list of quests with their rewards and requirements — useful for deciding what to prioritize as new options open up.

Start Shaping a Build

With basic gear and a bit of gold from tutorial achievements, start experimenting with what role you want to lean into. See Best Beginner Build for a starting-point approach, or jump to a specific role: Tank, DPS, Support, or Solo.

Decide How You Want to Play

From here, you can lean into story quests, side quests to build relationships with NPCs, or head straight into harder dungeon runs. Soulbound's quest system is built to avoid locking you into one path, so there's no wrong order to explore in.

Still to confirm: Specifics of what unlocks first in Virelda (which quests, which crafting stations) will vary as SpiderWare finalizes Early Access content. We'll expand this page with concrete quest names and unlock order once the game is live.
