Storage requirements are notably light (800 MB) for both tiers, consistent with the game's pixel-art visual style rather than a heavier 3D engine.

Steam Deck Compatibility

Valve's own compatibility testing (as of mid-July 2026) rates Soulbound: Online as Playable on Steam Deck — one tier below the top "Verified" rating. Specifics from that test:

  • The default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck
  • Some functionality isn't accessible with the default controller configuration and requires the touchscreen, virtual keyboard, or a community controller config
  • The game sometimes shows mouse/keyboard icons instead of Deck-native controller glyphs
  • Some in-game text is small and may be hard to read on the Deck's screen
  • Entering text sometimes requires manually calling up the on-screen keyboard
  • Even singleplayer/solo dungeon runs require an active internet connection

SpiderWare has listed full ("Verified") Steam Deck support as a future goal rather than something guaranteed at Early Access launch.

Platform & Other Notes

  • Windows is the only confirmed OS at Early Access launch; Mac and iOS support are planned to follow.
  • Steam lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer as a feature, though which platforms it covers hasn't been detailed yet.
  • Steam also lists 8 accessibility features for the game, though specifics aren't broken out on the store page.
Not yet available: A tested settings/optimization guide (best graphics settings for FPS, Steam Deck performance) needs real hands-on benchmarking once Early Access is live. We'll publish that once we can test it properly.
