How Co-op Works in Soulbound: Online
Party size, what's shared, and what changes when you dungeon with friends.
Party Size
Dungeon runs scale for solo play or up to 3-player co-op. Larger raid encounters support 5+ players — SpiderWare has confirmed one raid is available at Early Access launch, with more planned for later.
The Overworld Is Already Shared
Outside of dungeons, the overworld is a persistent, shared space — thousands of players farm, gather, trade, and quest side by side without needing to form a party first. Parties matter most once you queue into an instanced dungeon run.
Classless Means Flexible Parties
Because any character can become tank, DPS, healer, or a hybrid just by changing gear, a 3-player party doesn't need to be built around fixed archetypes ahead of time — players can gear into whatever role the group is missing.
What Escalates in Co-op
Dungeon runs feature storm-spawned mobs and boss phases that escalate procedurally; larger raid encounters are described as a step up from standard co-op dungeons in scale.
Trading & Social Features
In-game trading is available from launch. An auction house and guild support are both planned but confirmed not to be ready for Early Access launch day — expect those to arrive as post-launch updates.
